A domain that a resource is relevant to. Each domain maps, where possible, to a concept in an external controlled vocabulary (Medical Subject Headings, MeSH; the NCI Thesaurus, NCIT; or EDAM) via the permissible value’s meaning. Domains form a two-level hierarchy. A specific domain names its broader domain with is_a, and a resource that lists a specific domain also lists the broader one.
