humancyc

is a Data Source.

HumanCyc is an encyclopedic reference on human metabolic pathways, the human genome, and human metabolites. It is a Pathway/Genome Database (PGDB) within the BioCyc collection maintained by SRI International, computationally predicting the metabolic network of Homo sapiens and integrating genes, enzymes, reactions, compounds, and pathways with tools for omics analysis.

HumanCyc

Overview

HumanCyc is an encyclopedic reference on human metabolic pathways, the human genome, and human metabolites. Built as a Pathway/Genome Database (PGDB) within the BioCyc collection, it was originally generated by computationally predicting the metabolic pathway complement of the human genome and has since been curated and maintained by SRI International.

Key Features

  • Metabolic pathways: Comprehensive predicted and curated human metabolic pathways.
  • Integrated data: Genes, enzymes, reactions, compounds, and regulatory information.
  • BioCyc tooling: Browsable and analyzable through the Pathway Tools software that powers the wider BioCyc collection.
  • Omics analysis: Support for metabolomics and transcriptomics data overlay and comparative genomics.

Access

  • Web portal at humancyc.org
  • Data downloads via the BioCyc download services
  • Part of the BioCyc collection maintained by SRI International

Licensing

HumanCyc is distributed under the BioCyc subscription model, which offers tiered access including free trials, classroom use, academic licenses, and commercial licensing.
