Brain_Cell_KG is a knowledge graph from the Cellular Semantics group (Wellcome Sanger Institute), built with the OBASK framework, that links the Cell Ontology with mouse, human and basal ganglia brain cell type taxonomies, annotation transfer mappings between them, and mappings of cell types to Allen Mouse Brain Atlas regions, genes and neurotransmitters for brain cell annotation and reporting.

Brain_Cell_KG is a knowledge graph build system for brain cell annotation transfer and reporting, developed by the Cellular Semantics group at the Wellcome Sanger Institute using the OBASK framework.
The graph loads the Cell Ontology, the Whole Mouse Brain Ontology and taxonomy (CCN20230722), the Human Brain Cell Atlas v1 neuronal and non-neuronal taxonomies, the HMBA Basal Ganglia consensus taxonomy (CS20250428), and OWL mapping files built in the repository, with the Relation Ontology as a slice. Repository-built mappings cover annotation transfer between taxonomies and links from Whole Mouse Brain cell types to Allen Mouse Brain Atlas regions, genes and neurotransmitters, derived in part from Allen Brain Cell Atlas MERFISH data.
The project is in active development and has no released graph artifact or public deployment. The repository states no license. It succeeds the earlier WMB_BG_KG pipeline.
